The Grand River Conservation Authority is installing warning booms or white buoys upstream of GRCA dams to warn paddlers, anglers and boaters to stay away from the dams.
During National Volunteer Week, April 15 to 21, the Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) is celebrating the vital role of volunteers who give so much of their time to nature.
In 2017, over 2,500 volunteers contributed almost 6,300 hours of their time to conservation and enhancing watershed health.

Changes are coming to Laurel Creek Park in Waterloo this spring that will allow visitors to enjoy the park year-round. Automatic gates are being installed at the gatehouse along with a small parking lot, and a trailer staging area.

The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA), in partnership with the City of Brantford, is focused on helping grassland habitats make a comeback in southern Ontario. Grassland habitats support a number of grassland-specific bird species including the Eastern Meadowlark– a threatened species that has been recorded in and around the City of Brantford.
The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) will spend more than $34 million this year on programs that protect water quality, reduce flood damages, protect natural areas, support responsible development and provide outdoor recreation and environmental education.
The 2018 camping season is nearly here and the Grand River Parks camping reservation system will be open for reservations online and over the phone on March 1.
