Make a Donation

It's easy to support clean water in our communities, a healthy local environment and opportunities for people to enjoy and learn from the outdoors.

Donate Online

Our secure website makes supporting conservation easy. In these uncertain days, an undesignated gift is the most helpful, as it allows us to use your donation for conservation needs as they arise.

  • Some designated projects you can choose from include the Guelph Lake Nature Centre, Elora Cataract Trailway, the Wildlife Habitat Fund and Give Grand.
  • Undesignated gifts support projects such as:
    • Upkeep of the GRCA's rail trail network and natural areas, which are admission-free to the public
    • Water festivals where about 2,000 kids learned about water conservation in a hands-on way
    • The GRCA's Burford Tree Nursery, which grows and distributes about 200,000 trees and shrubs throughout our watershed; and
    • The Luther Marsh Wildlife Management Area near the Grand River's headwaters, which supports a vibrant ecosystem and plays a big role in managing our water supply.

Alternatively, you may wish to support a specific program. The choice is yours!

Make it Monthly

For a small donation each month, you can play an active and ongoing role in caring for our watershed and residents:

  • $5 helps five kids per month learn about the outdoors at a GRCA nature centre;
  • $10 enables four trees to be planted each year;
  • An undesignated gift of any size can be applied to priority conservation projects as they are needed.
  • Visit our secure website and click on "Donate Monthly" to make a big difference.

Provide a Future Gift in Your Will

Deferred gifts like bequests and gifts of life insurance allow you to fulfill your giving goals while offering tax advantages. For details, go to the Planned Giving page.

Donate Land

Some people like to donate environmentally important property. The Grand River Conservation Authority is a registered charity and can receive gifts of land. For more information go to the GRCA properties page of the website.
