The GRCA follows these important notes and guidelines to promote and engage in respectful online discussions.

Content Use: The Grand River Conservation Authority is not responsible for how others use GRCA content or materials shared on our social media channels.

Events: The GRCA only promotes its own events on its website and social media channels. The GRCA may promote a third-party event if it is a partner.

Administration: The GRCA reserves the right to mute, block or ban users who violate these guidelines, ensuring a safe and respectful space for all.

Hours of Operation: We respond to comments and messages during business hours, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., when the GCRA Administration Centre is open.
Social media commenting guidelines
The Grand River Conservation Authority welcomes you to engage with our posts by sharing, discussing and interacting respectfully and constructively with us and the community. Our social media channels are designed to encourage positive and meaningful conversations, and we ask all users to follow these guidelines when commenting or participating. While we anticipate some level of criticism, we see it as an opportunity to listen, discuss and respond appropriately when needed. We strive to address relevant inquiries promptly during business hours and use our discretion in determining which messages receive responses.
Comments or posts will be removed if they:

Contain offensive language or material, including: profanity, hateful, defamatory, aggressive, violent, abusive, rude or insulting language directed at individuals, GRCA staff or the organization

Contain spam or irrelevant content

Violate privacy by sharing personal information, photographs or the views and opinions of identifiable individuals without consent

Are intended to solicit business or for marketing purposes unrelated to GRCA activities, including events

Contain or link to sexual content

Promote, foster or perpetuate discrimination in any form, including based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, citizenship, disability or other protected characteristics

Infringe on the legal ownership rights of another party (e.g., copyright or trademarks)
