Heritage bridge reports
Historic bridges are among the human heritage elements that support the designation of the Grand River as a Canadian Heritage River.
Information on bridges in the Grand River watershed is contained in the study below.
The study:
- supports the designation of the Grand River and its four tributaries;
- provides information to decision makers when they are planning work relating to a bridge;
- identifies and encourages the listing or designation of bridges with significant cultural heritage value under the Ontario Heritage Act; and
- promotes the unique character and tourism potential of the bridges.
