Water Management Plan Implementation Report for Guelph Dam
The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) is required to submit an implementation report for Water Management Plans (WMP) every five years as part of the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) requirements under the Maintaining Water Management Plans Technical Bulletin. The GRCA has three dams that require WMP’s – Shand Dam, Guelph Dam and Conestogo Dam. Recent Implementation reports were completed for Shand Dam in 2022 and Conestogo Dam in 2023. The previous implementation report for Guelph Dam was completed in 2019, with the current report approved by MNR on August 8, 2024.
The intent of the implementation report is to provide a status update on the WMP, provide transparency of operations and inform adaptive management considerations.
The Guelph Water Management Plan was completed in 2005 with amendments in 2015 and 2018. There have been no amendments since this time. The implementation report and associated documents are available for public review. If you have any questions regarding the GRCA’s water management plans or the implementation reports, please contact us.
Please note these documents may not be accessible to people with disabilities. If you have a disability and require a document in an alternate format, please contact us.
