‘Spring Forward with Stewardship’ workshop to be held Wednesday, March 20

The Grand River Conservation Authority is hosting a free workshop on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, where Forestry Specialists will be speaking about ways for landowners to protect and enhance the natural features on their properties. The event will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Wellington County Museum and Archives (0536 Wellington Rd. 18, Fergus ON).

The workshop is geared to rural landowners with properties larger than 2.5 acres.  Attendees will work through the Rural Landowner Stewardship Guide and learn about the role landowners and their properties play in the watershed. Topics include tree planting, invasive species management, living with wildlife and working with the natural ecosystems on your property.

Participation is free and a copy of the Rural Landowner Stewardship Guide will be provided to participants. To register, please email ruralwater@grandriver.ca or call 519-621-2763, extension 2259.
