Grand River Conservation Areas Status

Check below to see if a conservation area is open or closed to daily visitors

Conservation area capacity: we manage capacity limits at the Grand River Conservation Areas to enhance the experience of our guests. The allowable number of daily visitors in Grand River Conservation Areas are based on a variety of factors including: number of available parking spaces, beach size, pool size, environmental impacts on day use areas, as well as the availability of emergency services access points. Conservation areas are busiest on weekends and holidays and often reach capacity during those times. To help plan your visit, please check the chart below for more information. When a conservation area reaches capacity, the park temporarily closes until 4:30 p.m. If attendance has decreases by 4:30 p.m. that day, it will reopen for additional day-use visitors wishing to take advantage of an evening visit. If not, the park will continue to stay closed.
